I moved over to my new place today. I now have 2 apartments until monday. Like it better. Same story. Loved the first one in Abesses, for a few days that is. Then was excited for this place. It is much larger though and beautful. A living room AND a bedroom. Nice hardwoods, high ceilings. Catherine is a violinist so there is a record player and a bunch of Bach and Mozart vinyls. An easier place to write in, live in, but I know I also say that because it is new. 2 stops… Continue

Grinding Tourneys
I used to view Tournaments as higher variance than cash. But it's obviously not the case for me anymore.
I cashed in 4 tournaments again today, and 6 yesterday. I find them less tilting than cash. They are being more consistent and less variance for me. I was playing mostly cash, with tournaments a couple days a week. But now, I'm going to reverse that. I'm going to play tournaments most days of the week, and only play cash when it suits me. Change of Direction (13/08/10)
So things have taken a new turn since my last post. Have now (momentarily) ditched 6max in favour of playing HU SnG's. The reasons for this were mainly 6max seemed like a massive grind as I was in a downswing which I was struggling to keep to a breakeven run, but the fact I managed that gave me confidence in my game as I knew I was runing ridiculously below EV. I wake up around ten today with a massive headache. Go back to sleep, hoping it will go away. Wake up again at 1 and it’s still there. Lay in bed for awhile. I'm Back, Baby! (07/08/10)
Ok, the roll is on the way up, now looking up to 10NL hopefully quite soon. Been playing 5NL recently, have made the transition to 6max and the whole thing's been going quite smoothly. By smoothly, I mean, I'm making profit, which I expect to increase quite a lot as soon as varience evens out, managed to only finish ($5 down after getting hit for $20 for set over set and KK vs AA in a session, although not playing deep would reduce my varience, and lost $10 in QQ vs AA and QQ vs KK the night…
