It's been quite a while since I last posted, at which point I think I was playing the $5 HU SNG's. They went ok, made a modest profit from them, but everything got put on hold when another bad relationship started, I always play terrible poker during times like that. During the good times I hardly played poker at all, and during the bad times I played terribly, including losing a decent amount at 7 card stud and playing pretty much breakeven everywhere else. So things have taken a new turn since my last post. Have now (momentarily) ditched 6max in favour of playing HU SnG's. The reasons for this were mainly 6max seemed like a massive grind as I was in a downswing which I was struggling to keep to a breakeven run, but the fact I managed that gave me confidence in my game as I knew I was runing ridiculously below EV. In short, I just needed a break and the fun of HU play gave me just that. I intend to go back to 6max fairly soon though as I need…

Ok, the roll is on the way up, now looking up to 10NL hopefully quite soon. Been playing 5NL recently, have made the transition to 6max and the whole thing's been going quite smoothly. By smoothly, I mean, I'm making profit, which I expect to increase quite a lot as soon as varience evens out, managed to only finish ($5 down after getting hit for $20 for set over set and KK vs AA in a session, although not playing deep would reduce my varience, and lost $10 in QQ vs AA and QQ vs KK the night…

Ok, I did it. I tilted off my roll. When I stepped up to 5NL I experienced the famous downswing and it was quite unexpected. Who knew getting hit for set over set or KK vs AA happened so frequently? In any case instead of stepping back down I tilted my bankroll down to about $20.
