Friendly People, Friendly Poker
Hi all! Gonna suggest some steps for you guys to get started making some moneyz playing online poker! All feedback and questions are welcome!
- BEFORE THE GAME -
STEP 1:
- Chose your poker client! PokerStars is the one I advice, but it is banned on the US.
- For US players you will need to look for a multitabling friedly client! Some clients don't support several tables open and/or are hard to manage and to have a decent action-per-minute, which will slow you and eventually fold your hands plus sitting you out the tables 'cuz you cannot be fast enough.
- Multitabling friendly
- Available to unlock promotional codes! For you to get free money to start without the need to invest anything! Risk free!
- Must support Hold'em Manager and Table Ninja! poker sites that support it:
a) Recommended for Europe: PokerStars ; Party Poker. BUT! if you don't want to be a multitabler pro, you can just use HM in almost every poker site! (this means: if you dont want to reach 24 tabling level, so sticking to 6-9 tables.)
b) Recommended for US: Cake Poker (probably the only one which supports Hold'em Manager) and I've hear good feedback about carbon poker, I believe it is still US friendly.
Registering @ PokerStars:
Use a promotional code. You will find it on poker schools online or from online pro's. If you don't find any use the L33T K1NG referral! On the promotional code insert: chiren . It won't make a big difference either if you don't use any or use his, no promotional code = all the rake goes to PokerStars ; promotional code = part of the rake that you would lose anyway goes to someone. (Please correct me if anything changed and I'm wrong!)
Some online poker schools will help you with $ a small bank roll to start messing around ring games.
-------> So you don't need to risk any deposit! What they usually require you to do is reading their beginners guide and with the information inside that guide answer to a VERY easy quiz.
-------> If possible find a promotion which lets you unlock Holdem Manager (http://www.holdemmanager.com/) You will often find schools that are similar to MMO's. They will give an experience bar to level up and with more level you will have better offers! Usually you gain experience on any kind of ring game you play and I believe sit'n'go. It will connect to the poker site you chose and retrieve information of how much rake you have given to the school. So you are actually converting something that you would simply lose to the poker site into some goodies and bonus! Remember, even if you don't use any promotional code you will lose the same amount of rake anyway - the only difference is that it goes entirely to the poker site instead of the referral you use.
-------> There are some promotions that offer you HM and Table Ninja together!
You should do this research before you chose your poker site and register - 'cuz some promotions can only be activated on new accounts! Some others can be used on old player, look 'em up!!
Additional note: if possible look for online poker schools in your country! Just google using your language "online poker school <nameofyourcountryhere>".
Some of the best bonus poker sites:

http://www.pokerschoolonline.com/promotions
For my Portuguese fellas, one of the best portuguese poker schools: http://www.educapoker.pt/noticias
Why in your country? 'Cuz you will be offered very special bonus and free tournaments that can give you some cool starting moneyz, some of them will give you something like 10$.
STEP 2:
Making sure you have a winning strategy! Feel free to read everything you find on your online poker school and learn from there! One of the most important topics you will find there is about bankroll management and responsible gaming!
And then making it slick! Go to the following websites: http://www.twoplustwo.com/ (you will find a cool community of online poker players there and also other multitablers, ge this website on your bookmarks and every time you get some free time look for the other player doubts and learn from it, I've done it myself and skipped a lot of trouble!)
And the most important website above all! http://friendlyp.ning.com/ <--- done by the L33T K1NG himself! Plus I am going to stick around there to give you some goodies and reply to your questions!
Knowing exactly how to play and which hands to play: http://friendlyp.ning.com/page/fpcoach-1 . I will be making a video to explain this free tutorial in detail soon!
Right guys! Those are the very basics to start your online poker journey! I will be writing more advanced guides soon!
-Peace!
