After a very long break, Athene has been putting in significant volume in for over 2 weeks now and has a much improved winrate at the tables (or a sick upswing). Will he ever update this community again about what's going on? What are his plans for poker this year, next year and in general? What does he have in store for this community? I think its a shame that ever since he left, the community has really slowed down and dwindled. Now would be the perfect time to revive it with a comeback... so where's the l33t king?

I have just started a new job for a video game company, and will not be on as much during the week until I get settled into my new job, and am able to play in the evenings... for now, I feel like I'm prepping for finals in college...

so it'd be really nice to see Chiren80 here at least every once in a while...

Atm he's back to poker and is putting in a ton of volume, so it would make sense for him to come back to the poker community he created, especially with new & improved strategy tips since he's beating 100NL with a solid winrate now.

I just looked up his session wins on PTR. He's up approx 3-4k$ from tables alone @ 100NL over around 100k hands. Very approximate but I wouldnt be surprised if his winrate was above 1.5ptBB/100 now.

I don't think that's necessarily the case. That would be like saying "reading every CoTW will instantly make you crush 50NL for 1ptBB/100 or more while 24-tabling". While its certainly true that there's enough info in there to do that, it still takes time to read it, learn it, apply it, fuck it up, apply it some more, rinse & repeat until you get it right while most likely spewing a lot in the process.

I also believe one of the best way to grow as a player is to teach what you use since it forces you to explicitely explain what you do, which is the best way to find & correct leaks you might not have noticed otherwise. Looking at it another way, if merely reading poker strategy was enough to make someone a big winner, everybody would be crushing the games after reading a couple of poker books.
